Sr. Design PM - Industrial Construction
Job Description
Job DescriptionSenior Design Project Manager – A/E & Industrial Markets
???? Location: Atlanta, GA preferred (Hybrid - travel assistance available)
????️ Industry: A/E Design, Industrial Construction, Capital Projects
Are you a field-tested A/E professional who can run large-scale industrial projects from the ground up?
iParametrics is hiring a Senior Design Project Manager with strong field experience and a deep background in construction and A/E project delivery. If you’ve worked on the contractor/GC side or supported A/E firms delivering industrial projects, we want to hear from you!
This is not a client-side, desk-only PM role. We need someone who understands boots-on-the-ground execution — how jobs actually get built — and can drive complex, high-value projects ($100M–$300M) across industrial sectors like chemicals, oil & gas, pulp & paper, and power generation.
Ideal Background:
We’re looking for candidates with roots in A/E design or industrial EPC firms who also understand the field environment. If you’ve grown from technical engineering into project management — and still stay close to where the real work happens — you’re exactly who we need.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
????️ Lead Project Execution — Manage large industrial A/E design projects from early planning to final turnover.
-
????️ Support Field Execution — Translate design intent into real-world construction strategies; be hands-on with constructability and sequencing.
-
???? Coordinate Multi-Disciplinary Teams — Work across engineering, architecture, and construction partners to align design and build phases.
-
???? Own Scope, Schedule, and Budget — Develop scopes, control project costs, and maintain timelines.
-
????️ Manage Quality — Ensure designs are practical, constructible, and meet all technical and industry standards.
-
???? Be a Trusted Leader — Act as a true partner to field teams, contractors, and technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
-
✅ 15–20+ years of A/E design project management in industrial markets
-
✅ Real field experience — understanding how design decisions impact construction activities
-
✅ Background with A/E firms, EPC contractors, or GC-side project teams
-
✅ Experience leading $100M–$300M+ industrial capital projects
-
✅ Strong financial acumen — budget development, contract management, and project controls
-
✅ Software skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Excel
-
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required)
-
✅ PMP Certification and PE License (highly preferred)
