Description

Inspect Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) in various stages of production and decipher between acceptable and nonconforming material based on customer and national specifications.

  • Analyze and interpret customer drawings, customer specifications, internal documents, manuals, and other materials to determine requirements.
  • Inspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specifications.
  • Identify items with rejection status and separate from those meeting specs.
  • Record inspection data in the electronic system.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Generate and apply various assembly labels.
  • Comply with all ESD procedures
  • Use of Visual Optical Inspection Aids such as a Microscope and Ring light.
  • Ability to comprehend customer prints, Bill of Materials, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify all components for placement, polarity, lead prep, part marking, damage etc.
  • Inspection of all solder terminations in regards to alloy, wetting, and volume.
  • Record all inspection results and define any nonconforming issues.
  • Notify supervisors of nonconforming issues, and assist in identifying and correcting issues.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions for continuous improvement opportunities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

2-3 years’ experience as a QA PCBA inspector required

Current IPC-A-610 and J-standard certification certs a plus (will accept expired or current)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.40/hr.
