Job Description
We are seeking a Shop Technician to join our team specializing in the installation, service, and repair of mobility equipment. Our work includes wheelchair platform lifts, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, power chairs, scooters, and vehicle transfer seats. This is a hands-on role for someone with a mechanical mindset and electrical troubleshooting skills, especially in 12-volt systems.
Responsibilities:

Install, service, and repair wheelchair platform lifts and related mobility equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues (primarily 12V systems)

Use a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems

Write detailed work orders and interact professionally with customers

Inspect equipment, structures, or materials for defects or errors

Handle and move materials, parts, and tools as needed

Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and technical developments

Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily responsibilities
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (1 year of electrical troubleshooting preferred)

Experience with vehicle and/or wheelchair lift electrical diagnostics

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical systems

Ability to use diagnostic equipment, including a multimeter

Customer service skills and the ability to clearly document service work
