Position Summary: The Quality Engineer has the responsibility of supporting the quality requirements that meet and exceed Customer, Company and IPC specifications.

Required Skills

Responsibilities
- Responsible for Quality functions in operations and production process:
- QMS (ISO 9001) Document Control maintenance and implementation.
- Quality reporting/graphing and presentations.
- RMA - CAR/SCAR system application for Customer product issues.
- Maintain calibration system.
- Internal and External (Supplier) audits as needed.
- Implement and maintain statistical process control methods.
- Material Review of internal scrap and rejected material and allocation of internal or vendor corrective action requests.
- Departmental process responsibilities:
- Understand and advise Quality and Operational requirements of
- Inspection
- Electrical Test (including outside test services)
- AOI
- Dry & Wet Laboratories
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, prefer Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, process improvement, and quality control
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with process mapping, data analysis, and root cause analysis - Ability to read and interpret customer Gerber data, drawings, and specifications
- Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
Physical Demands
- Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent concentration and must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions.
Compensation/Benefits: Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs. Which include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, STD, LTD, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following 30 days of hire.
Pay Range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 salaried based on experience.
