Job Title: Application Engineer
About the Role
We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Application Engineer to join our growing technology team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, integration, and enhancement of critical software systems that support our mission to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Support

Integrate applications with internal systems, databases, and third-party services to ensure seamless functionality.

Provide responsive technical support to users, resolving application issues efficiently.

Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to optimize reliability and speed.

Lead cross-functional projects from planning through execution with minimal supervision.

Apply patches, updates, and bug fixes in accordance with change management protocols.

Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process improvements.

Contribute to architectural planning and application roadmap discussions.
Technical Execution

Build and maintain applications using languages such as PowerOn and Python.

Develop custom utilities and automation tools to streamline workflows.

Design and implement API integrations and web services.

Maintain code repositories, technical documentation, and user guides.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead root cause analysis.

Support CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments across environments.

Coordinate with security teams to ensure timely patching with minimal downtime.
Compliance & Documentation

Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Maintain clear documentation of data sources, transformations, and business rules.

Adhere to security protocols and contribute to audit readiness.
What You Bring
Technical Skills

Proficiency in PowerOn, Python, Java, or similar programming languages.

Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.

Scripting skills in PowerShell, Perl, or Bash.

Strong understanding of APIs, web services, XML, and encryption standards.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems, and deployment automation.

Experience with workflow orchestrators like OpCon or Apache Airflow.
Soft Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 2 years of experience in an Application Engineer or software development role.

Preferred: Experience working in the financial services industry.
Compensation

Salary Range: $70k – $80k annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
