About this opportunity:

Life-Assist, Inc. is looking to enhance our current IT team with a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will play a strategic role in shaping and maintaining the functionality, performance, and scalability of our company website. While reporting to the Director of IT and collaborating with the lead developer, this position works independently to interpret design concepts, propose technical solutions, and lead development efforts that support business and marketing objectives.

This individual will partner closely with the Marketing team – not only implementing visual designs but actively evaluating feasibility, offering alternatives, and creating high-performing user experiences. The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will create prototypes and final functional web pages using C# ASP.Net MVC, MS-SQL, React, and Tailwind. Key responsibilities also include SEO strategy, page performance optimization, retiring tech debt by modernizing legacy code, and collaborating with in-house and offshore developers.

The ideal candidate will:

Have demonstrable SQL knowledge, object-oriented C#/.NET coding ability, and front-end coding skills.
Take the initiative; self-learner, self-starter, confident in his/her abilities, self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
Be comfortable working, communicating, and collaborating in a team environment.
Understand tasks in context. How does your solution fit with/affect the whole system?
Have attention to detail while following through on assigned task and projects. Be thorough, not just fast.

What will you do?

This position will be responsible for collaborating with the development team to integrate, maintain, and enhance our website and custom ERP software.

Analyze Adobe XD design documents and independently develop scalable, responsive, and accessible web solutions using C#, ASP.Net MVC 5, Razor, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Tailwind, and MS-SQL.
Consult with marketing stakeholders and developers to translate design intent into robust, user-centered web features; advise on technical feasibility and suggest improvements when appropriate.
Lead the end-to-end execution of website updates – from front-end design to back-end integration – while maintaining best practices in performance, accessibility, and security.
Implement scalable front-end solutions that bring collaborative design concepts to life using front-end technologies such as Razor, TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, Tailwind, Bootstrap, and CSS.
Prioritize and resolve website-related help desk tickets, using technical expertise and discretion to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Write stable, well-encapsulated code.
Actively identify and address technical debt through architectural improvements and modernization of legacy code.
Participate in peer testing, code review, and debugging of applications.
Provide problem resolution support, specific to application issues; identify and resolve problems by coordinating with application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition.
Document complex workflows and any counterintuitive processes or details to ensure cross-functional understanding and system clarity.
Provide daily updates in Life-Assist Task Management system.
Check code in regularly. Keep branches up to date.
Provide daily updates in the Life-Assist project management system.
Keep current with the latest technologies.

Who are you?

Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience of 10+ years
Certificates of continued education in information technology related fields
C#, ASP.Net MVC, MS-SQL, React, and Tailwind
SQL knowledge, object-oriented C#/.NET coding ability, and front-end coding skills.
Exposure to WinForms is a plus
Familiarity with Git/Azure DevOps is preferred
