MAIN FUNCTION:
Assist in the planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, ensuring efficient data exchange with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., EDI certifications, SQL certifications) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EDI operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of EDI technologies, standards, and protocols.
- Supply chain documents: Exposure to documents such as 832, 850, 855, 856, 860.
- 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) and Warehouse Management System documents: Familiarity with documents such as 940, 945, 943, 944, 947, 846, 856.
- Knowledge of AS2, S/FTP XML, S/HTTP and other data interface formats.
- Experience with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
- Proficient with relational database design and SQL.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated with advancements in EDI technologies.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in data exchange and documentation.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
- PNY Staff: Collaborate with internal teams to support EDI operations.
- Vendors: Assist in managing relationships with EDI technology vendors.
- Customer and Supplier EDI Counterparts: Support data exchange processes and resolve issues.

- Support EDI projects: Assist in new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Serve as an EDI contact: Provide initial support for issues from customers and suppliers.
- Understand project requirements: Communicate requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Resolve transaction processing issues: Follow department reporting and communication procedures.
- Assist in writing test cases and performing project testing.
- Support data gathering and analysis: Understand business strategy requirements.
- Generate and analyze EDI transaction reports: Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor EDI transactions: Ensure timely and accurate data exchange.
- Document EDI processes: Maintain detailed documentation of EDI configurations and procedures.
- Provide training: Conduct training sessions for end-users on EDI systems and processes.
- Maintain compliance: Ensure EDI processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with IT teams: Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure seamless integration of EDI systems.
- Participate in meetings: Attend and contribute to team meetings and project discussions.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance EDI efficiency and accuracy.
