Position Overview
Hankin & Pack PLLC, a leading residential real estate law firm in North Carolina, is seeking a skilled Residential Real Estate Paralegal / Closer to manage full-cycle real estate closings. The Closer will take ownership of the closing file and ensure a seamless, timely, and accurate experience for all parties involved. This role requires an experienced and highly organized individual with a customer-first mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of real estate closings: pre-closing, closing, and post-closing

  • Communicate with agents, buyers, sellers, and lenders regarding transaction progress, required documentation, figures, and updates

  • Prepare and revise HUD/ALTA settlement statements; balance with lender and register

  • Ensure closing file readiness; obtain lender/buyer funding approvals and finalize title documents

  • Coordinate with Pre-Closer to monitor file progress, deadlines, and SLAs

  • Respond to distribution emails and manage task routing via internal software

  • Confirm all title commitment requirements are met prior to closing

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of residential real estate closing experience in a law firm, title, or lending setting

  • High school diploma required; paralegal experience preferred

  • Qualia software experience a plus

  • Strong organizational, communication, and task management skills

  • High attention to detail with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Customer-oriented, humble, teachable, and solution-focused

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
