Program Description:

Contracting and Management Services (CAMS) division facilitates the important work that diverse human service organizations are doing for communities in need. We provide industry-leading contracting, fiscal management, and capacity building services. The full range of contracting and management services CAMS provides enables organizations that are crucial to the public health of New Yorkers to have the funding and administrative expertise needed to seamlessly deliver upon their promises.

Summary of Position:

CAMS division seeks a Database programmer who has experience in database development with application support responsibilities. They would be developing and maintaining reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SSIS packages, as well as writing and managing T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and database objects. The role requires the ability to query databases to identify and troubleshoot client-level data issues, and to communicate findings to contract management staff and information system developers. The Database programmer will support Agiloft Contract Management System and other PHS systems as needed.

Specifically, the Database Programmer will:

  • Develops and maintains reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Develops and maintains SSIS packages.
  • Develops and maintains SQL stored procedures, tables, etc. using T-SQL.
  • Query databases to identify problems with client-level data submitted for payment.
  • Investigates data discrepancies and reports the results to contract management staff and information system developers.
  • Develops and maintains Object-oriented web application using ASP.Net, C#, HTML and JavaScript.
  • Supports Agiloft CLM.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required along with 5+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes systems analysis and design and closely related functions (e.g. analytics, information system quality assurance, documentation, programming, etc.)
  • 5 plus years of programming experience developing on a relational database platform.
  • 5 plus years of experience programming Standard Query Language (SQL), including development of stored procedures.
  • 5 plus years of experience programming Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services.
  • Knowledge of Web Services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ASP.Net and C# is plus.
  • Knowledge of Agiloft CLM is a plus.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, flexible, and attention to details.
  • Team player who relates well to constituents in many roles.
  • Salary: $100000.00-$100000.00
