Job Title: Manufacturing Services Technician – Mechatronics
Location: Cypress, CA (On-site)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Payrate: $55/hr. to $66/hr.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Services Technician – Mechatronics to support our production operations through hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex manufacturing and assembly equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that manufacturing assets are safe, reliable, and performing at optimal levels to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance across a broad range of manufacturing and production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems including pumps, furnaces, actuators, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and interpret circuit/logic diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, reporting, and documentation.
- Analyze equipment data and performance trends to support continuous improvement and KPI reporting.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams and communicate effectively with leaders and operators.
- Work with internal manufacturing engineers and external OEM technicians to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Propose and implement improvements to equipment, maintenance strategies, and work instructions.
- Support cross-training and onboarding of maintenance team members to ensure knowledge sharing and safety compliance.
- Operate site-specific equipment safely and in accordance with training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-trade technician role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronics aptitude.
- Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems.
- Ability to move seamlessly between electrical diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and part manuals.
- Skilled in using diagnostic and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic data reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset toward equipment reliability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as ASC Auto Mechanic, Licensed General Electrician, or similar trade credentials.
- Experience with maintenance in assembly and test environments.
