The production operator will work in a foundry brake facility, ensuring that all specifications are met. Responsibilities include performing final inspections at the end of the machine process. The machine will automatically process and drill parts to specification, which will then be inspected by the operator. The operator will look for any flashes, scratches, dents, or chips in the final product and conduct spot checks using micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy. Once inspected and approved, parts will be loaded for delivery and taken away by a hilo driver once each box is filled and labeled. Operators are responsible for inspecting and loading 25-30 parts per hour, with flexibility required for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform final inspections on brake discs as they come down the line.
- Identify flashes, scratches, dents, or chips in the final product.
- Conduct spot checks using micrometers and calipers to ensure proper product specifications.
- Load inspected parts for delivery and ensure proper labeling of boxes.
- Maintain flexibility to work on 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a production/machine operator role.
- Demonstrated job tenure without terminations.
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience with blueprint reading.
- 1+ year in the automotive industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.13 - $23.13/hr.
