About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Process Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of production machinery, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a vital role in meeting production goals while adhering to strict safety and quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Maintenance:
- Perform setup, operation, and troubleshooting of production machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs.
- Verify proper machine start-up and shut-down procedures (normal, emergency, and special conditions).
- Maintain accurate machine control settings.
- Quality & Inventory Control:
- Monitor product quality and minimize defects.
- Establish and maintain inventory control.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Promptly report quality issues to supervisors.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures (IATF, ISO, ISMS, Safety).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (TPM, Lean Manufacturing, SPC).
- Read and understand labels and numbers.
- Teamwork & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with team members, other departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Provide departmental training and communication as needed.
- Fill in for Team Leader as required.
- Safety & Organization:
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
- Training and Development:
- Complete assigned training programs.
- Assist in the development of other associates.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read labels and numbers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to train others.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to wear safety shoes as required.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with potential hazards associated with machinery and equipment.
- Ability to work overtime, varying shifts, and weekends as required.
Training:
- On-the-job training, LMS training courses, classroom training and/or seminars.
Supervisory Controls:
- Reports to the Spark Plugs Production Supervisor.
