Cheese Production Specialist
Are you passionate about dairy production and ready to level up your career? Join our cheese-making team as a Cheese Production Specialist, where you'll oversee critical steps in our cheese creation process — from fermentation to final preparation — ensuring top-quality products that meet exacting standards.
Location: Rudolph WI
Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 5 AM–5 PM or 5 PM–5 AM
Pay rate: $22hr
Duties:
- Prepare and process scheduled cheese types following detailed recipes and production standards.
- Accurately document production details, including pH levels, temperatures, milk silo usage, lot numbers, starter cultures, and rennet specifications.
- Add starter cultures and rennet at precisely the right times to ensure product quality.
- Monitor and verify cheese setting and cooking temperatures, cutting cheese at the perfect stage of development.
- Track and document any production deviations according to HTST (High-Temperature Short Time) pasteurization protocols.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and production areas during and after shifts.
- Communicate closely with Table Operators to coordinate timing and address issues.
- Perform routine calibrations of pH meters and other quality assurance tasks.
- Complete required certifications:
- Obtain Pasteurization License within 1 year of hire.
- Obtain Cheesemaker’s License within 2 years of hire.
- Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and uphold food safety standards.
- Support team operations with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in the dairy industry.
- 8+ months of experience as a Table Operator or in a related cheese production role.
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) training (provided on-site if needed).
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and a commitment to quality.
