In this role, you will use hand and power tools to build a metal part that eventually turns into the final product. Once you have the bracket built, you will operate a machine to unwind a copper wire and wrap it around the bracket. It is essential to find someone who is mechanically inclined and has experience with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand and power tools to build metal parts.
  • Operate a machine to unwind copper wire and wrap it around the built bracket.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of the assembled parts.
  • Follow blueprints and mechanical drawings for assembly processes.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic math skills
  • High school diploma

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in lube tech or mechanics
  • Knowledge of coil winding
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

Work Environment

The facility is very clean, well lit, and climate controlled. Employees are required to use safety glasses and wear steel-toed shoes. Work hours vary by shift: 1st shift (6am - 2pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), and 3rd shift (10pm - 6am). Employees currently have the opportunity to work close to 10 hours of overtime per week and can choose to go in early, stay late, or come in on Saturday, depending on what works best for their schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.50/hr.
