We're seeking a driven, highly motivated Sales & Project Manager who is passionate about both closing deals and ensuring successful project delivery. About the Role: Drive Sales & Manage Projects for Growth!

This critical dual-role position is the lifeblood of our growth strategy, combining direct client-facing sales responsibilities with hands-on project management. We're looking for someone who thrives on initiating client relationships, expertly estimating and selling new custom residential jobs, and then seamlessly overseeing their execution from start to finish. Your ability to proactively generate and close sales will be paramount to our continued success. While some project management experience is a plus, we are committed to training the right candidate in project coordination and execution.

Key Responsibilities: Your Daily Impact

Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus):

  • Be the driving force for new business! Act as the first point of contact for prospective custom residential clients.

  • Proactively engage leads, conducting thorough site visits and client consultations to understand their vision and needs.

  • Prepare detailed, accurate estimates and compelling proposals that showcase Springwood Builders' value.

  • Confidently close sales and convert prospects into satisfied clients.

  • Actively manage the sales pipeline and collaborate directly with the owner to achieve ambitious sales targets.

  • Maintain meticulous records in our CRM system (with administrative support) for effective lead tracking and follow-up.

  • Conduct detailed take-offs and material estimates for project proposals.

Project Management & Client Satisfaction:

  • Coordinate all aspects of awarded projects, including scheduling, subcontractor management, material procurement, and inspections.

  • Ensure projects are consistently delivered on time, within budget, and to Springwood Builders' exacting quality standards.

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, our carpentry team, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactively anticipate and swiftly resolve any on-site issues or challenges.

  • Monitor project financials, accurately track change orders, and manage budgets.

  • Conduct regular job site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to scope.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A strong drive for sales and business development is non-negotiable. You must be comfortable and eager to engage prospective clients and close deals.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

  • A proactive and highly organized approach to managing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.

  • Proficiency with technology, including estimating software (or willingness to learn quickly), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and scheduling tools.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle provided for work use).

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Preferred, But Not Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in residential construction, sales, or project coordination.

  • Experience in both field and office roles within construction.

  • Familiarity with Maine building codes and permitting processes.

  • Highly Competitive Pay Structure:

    • Base Salary: $50,000 – $70,000/year (commensurate with experience and responsibilities).

    • Significant Commission Potential:

      • 1.5% commission paid on signed client contracts.

      • 1.5% commission paid upon on-time, on-budget project completion.
