Seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join the production team in Ogden, UT. These roles are essential to manufacturing operations and offer a great opportunity to grow within a stable and supportive environment.
Schedules:
- 7am- 7pm Rotating Schedule- 2 on, 2 off
- 7pm- 7am Rotating Schedule- 2 on, 2 off
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a rotating cylindrical-shaped stranding/bunching machine to fabricate wire cable.
- Place take-up spool into machines and adjust the travel of distributor to width of spool.
- Thread wires through holes on the inside edge of the machine and through the twisting head, coiling it around the capstan.
- Cut wire when specified footage has been wound and wrap the end of the wire by hand or using mechanical tools.
- Adjust machinery during operation to regulate the speed of makeup spool shaft.
- Check the wire diameter along with lay length and weight.
- Thread machine by pulling wire through guides and set up the machine as required using job orders.
- Untangle snarls and repair breaks in wire.
- Move finished wire from take-up by rolling reels out of machine for pickup by forklifts.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and observe all company and safety rules.
- Perform preventive and minor equipment maintenance as required.
- Update GEMBA boards as required and participate in Lean events, housekeeping, and safety audits as needed.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions.
- Strong math skills including addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous production experience is required.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with hand tools.
- Experience working in a production environment.

Work Environment
The position is based in an industrial environment with various types of machines making copper wires and coiling previously made wires. The schedule includes 8 openings on the day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, 1 opening on the night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, and 1 opening on an 8-hour day shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ogden, Utah.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr.
