Testing OPERATOR Trainee
Reports to: Production CONTROL MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY: The Testing Operator Trainee is responsible for properly and promptly testing printed circuit boards (PCB) for defects and performing rework when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Check travelers for due date, material type, and special request for priority before starting the testing process.
- Promptly complete testing tasks and document in a timely manner.
- Set-up and operate the testing machine (A2S, A2X, AX16 or Eliminator) to perform electrical testing on PCB to ensure that there are no defects (shorts, opens, etc.).
- Promptly perform reworks such as weld openings and clean shorts when appropriate.
- Perform weekly maintenance on machines and perform house keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Inform Managers of any potential problems.
- Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
- Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Previous experience with A2S, A2X or AX16 testing machines.
- Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
