Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Worker to join our team at a leaf spring manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the production process through various tasks including the assembly, quality inspection, and maintenance of leaf spring products used in automotive and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities: • Manufacturing Operations: Operate machinery, tools, and equipment to assist in the production of leaf springs, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. • Assembly: Assemble parts and components according to specified instructions and technical drawings to create finished leaf springs. • Quality Control: Perform routine inspections to check the quality of materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards. • Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials, ensuring timely availability for production. Transport materials to and from different areas of the plant as needed. • Maintenance Assistance: Support machine operators in basic maintenance tasks, ensuring machinery is functioning properly. Report any issues to maintenance teams. • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards immediately. • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production logs, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the shift. • Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high levels of quality.
Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent. • Prior experience in manufacturing or production (preferably in the automotive or metalworking industry) is a plus. • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and machinery. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting. • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. • 5S and Lean experience is a plus but not required. • Knowledge of robotics is a plus but not required. • Ability to read a caliper and micrometer is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for long periods. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Capable of performing repetitive tasks and manual labor. • Ability to work in a noisy environment with appropriate protective equipment.
