Position Overview:
The Database manager will be responsible for supporting technology initiatives within the scope of the Cook County Data Center and Network Services contract. This role will contribute to the successful execution of database administrator projects and ensure service excellence aligned with County objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized support and implementation within the database administrator function.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deliverables.
- Maintain systems, tools, and infrastructure aligned with County IT standards.
- Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, service levels, and reporting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 35 years of relevant experience in database administrator or related field.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Professional certifications or technical training preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting public sector or large-scale IT environments is a plus.
