Are you looking to break into IT and gain real-world experience with a large-scale technology project? We’re partnering with a client in Madison, WI that’s kicking off a Windows 11 deployment project across 600+ devices—and they’re looking for hands-on tech support to join the team!
🔧 What You’ll Do:
- Assist with unboxing, asset tagging, and imaging of incoming hardware
- Identify and decommission machines not compatible with Windows 11
- Support in-place Windows 11 upgrades across the organization
- Work directly with end users to ensure a smooth and professional upgrade experience
- Receive hands-on training and support from experienced IT professionals
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- 1+ year of school or work experience in IT or tech support
- Exposure to or experience with PC imaging (via school labs, internships, or prior work)
- Understanding of Windows support concepts (installations, upgrades, troubleshooting)
- Strong customer service mindset – you're approachable, helpful, and a good communicator
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn on the job
💡 Bonus:
- Any experience with mass deployments, hardware rollouts, or working in a ticketing system
- A+ or other entry-level IT certifications

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and configure incoming hardware by unboxing, asset tagging, and imaging devices.
• Evaluate and decommission machines that are incompatible with Windows 11.
• Execute in-place upgrades to Windows 11 across the organization's devices.
• Provide direct support to end users, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration experience.
• Collaborate with IT specialists to receive guidance and training throughout the deployment process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Maintain accurate records of device configurations and upgrades.
• Assist in managing and tracking inventory for hardware and software assets.
• Adhere to company standards and procedures to ensure consistent and reliable support.
• Work within established ticketing systems to document and monitor progress.
• At least 1 year of academic or relevant experience in IT or technical support.
• Familiarity with PC imaging processes gained through school, internships, or prior work.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, including installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on professionalism.
• Detail-oriented with a reliable and proactive work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and processes.
• Experience with hardware rollouts, mass deployments, or ticketing systems is a plus.
• Entry-level IT certifications, such as A+, are highly desirable.
