Sabine Equipment is a vendor for Petrochemical, Municipal, Midstream and General Industrial facilities located throughout the United States. We are also a master distributor for multiple product lines, working with distributors and representative organizations throughout the USA. We are a growing company and are looking to add an Inside Sales / Application Engineer to support our business. The following abilities and skills are required:
*Excellent communication and organizational skills. These skills must be industry acceptable and provide an image of professionalism that is required in a business environment.
*The ability to listen, comprehend and execute company procedures as directed by management.
*Grammar, computer skills, and ability to collaborate with co-workers and customers in a professional manner is mandatory.
*Complete proposals in a timely manner and communicate via email as to document all the information about a particular order is required. This job will not require a person to talk on the phone all day, but instead, to communicate via email and document all communication between Sabine Equipment and our customers, vendors, coworkers, and distributors.
*The ability to review engineering specifications for industrial equipment in particular, pumps valves, blowers, motors, controls, etc. This includes data sheets, specifications, drawings and P&IDs.
*The ability to process orders, which includes ensuring that all specifications are met for equipment being purchased, providing proposals, creating sales orders, issuing purchase orders, documenting the entire process.
*The ability to communicate with shop personnel to support requests for parts. Utilize BOM or other methods for determining correct part numbers and outside services needed for repairs. The ability to provide a detailed repair proposal using the information gained from a DCI report.
*The ability to coordinate repair jobs, so that parts are delivered in a timely manner to support the completion date of the repairs.
*The ability to learn and retain detailed knowledge of the equipment and services that Sabine Equipment provides to its customers.
*Knowledge of elastomers, polymers, metals, and other materials used to manufacture industrial equipment.
*Degreed Mechanical Engineer is preferred; 5 years pump sales experience is a plus.
*The ability to negotiate freight and delivery of equipment in a responsible manner. This means using common sense as a way of determining delivery methods. Freight cost is a large part of our expenses, and this candidate must have the ability to control this cost at an acceptable level.
*Must have the availability to occasionally work after hours and on the weekend if necessary.
