Job DescriptionVolt is immediately hiring a Quality Technician 3rd shift in Parmount, CA.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will:

  • Generate loading maps and charts
  • Load and light forge furnaces (box and rotary)
  • Measure forged parts using an Infrared Optical Pyrometer
  • Document hot and cold part dimensions
  • Follow fixed process requirements (cooling, temperature, wall reduction)
  • Work with shop orders and customer specifications
  • Monitor soak times and temperatures
  • Understand forging terminology (e.g., back extrusion, edging, forming)
  • Maintain lot traceability (Serial Numbers)
  • Operate optical gun & aluminum handheld devices
  • Perform hourly temperature checks
  • Enter data using Oracle Software
  • Verify tooling and temperature before forging
  • Operate forklifts and manipulators safely
  • Move materials between processes
  • Support production goals and collaborate with manufacturing staff
  • Set up Wyman Gordon & Nuclear packages
  • Start up and shut down furnaces properly
  • Assist with furnace troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Replace spur plugs, wires, and clean Fireye scanners
  • Program UDC2500 & UDC3200 parameters
  • Adjust furnace settings during initial start-up
  • Perform burner adjustments and understand furnace components
  • Understand Fireye flame safety systems and Maxon gas valves

This is a Full Time 3rd Shift Opportunity

Sunday-Thursday 7:00pm to 6:00am

Pay Rate: $19.50/hour + 7% differential

Paid Lunches included

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Quality A
  • 1-3 years of quality control/assurance experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Quality Assurance
  • Quality Control
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Forklift Experience
  • Medical Devices a Plus
