If you’re eager to gain hands-on experience and start a rewarding career, this opportunity is for you!

Position Overview: Our client is seeking multiple entry-level cable technicians to join their team. These technicians will gain hands-on experience in large-scale cabling projects, working under an exclusive contract to build the cable infrastructure throughout a data center. Initially, technicians will likely start with installing cable trays and building server racks.

Key Responsibilities - What You'll Be Learning

  1. Drop cable down walls using fish tape or other methods and route cable through the data center.
  2. Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables, determine length, slack, and label cables.
  3. Suspend and support cable correctly using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze.
  4. Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required.
  5. Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.
  6. Terminate low-voltage devices.
  7. Follow prints and adhere to all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
  8. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Punctual and a team player.
  • Flexible with working hours.

It can be a career-changing role, providing the chance to work at data centers or with various TEKsystems clients in the area.
