Job Summary
IRYS Technologies, in partnership with DTSI, is seeking ambitious and detail-oriented Cyber Hardware Apprentices to join our cutting-edge team in developing next-generation cybersecurity solutions. This temporary, entry-level position offers hands-on experience in assembling, testing, and integrating advanced hardware systems for secure applications. As an apprentice, you'll work with industry leaders to support innovative projects that protect critical systems for private enterprises and public sector clients. Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Assembly: Construct and configure advanced hardware components, including processors and networking modules, following detailed technical specifications.
- System Integration: Assist in integrating hardware into secure system environments, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Testing and Validation: Perform functional tests and diagnostics on hardware under supervision, using specialized tools to verify reliability.
- Security Support: Aid in configuring secure access mechanisms and encryption protocols for hardware systems.
- Inventory Management: Track and document hardware components, ensuring accurate labeling and preparation for deployment.
- Testing Support: Collaborate with engineers to validate system performance through controlled test scenarios.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records of assembly, testing, and integration tasks to support project deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work alongside hardware engineers, cybersecurity experts, and system architects to advance project goals.
- Workspace Standards: Uphold a secure, organized lab environment, adhering to strict safety and confidentiality protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in or completion of a technical program (e.g., electronics, computer engineering, IT) preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware (e.g., processors, networking gear) and interest in cybersecurity technologies.
- Eagerness to learn complex systems and contribute to innovative projects.
- Physical ability to handle equipment up to 50 lbs and perform precise assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance (due to potential government contracts).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in electronics, computer science, or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with hardware assembly, basic networking, or secure system configurations.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts through coursework, self-study, or projects.
- Experience with inventory management or hardware testing.
- Passion for advancing technology in national security or enterprise applications.
