JOB DESCRIPTION:
WBC Mechanical is currently seeking applicants that are excited to learn a new trade or expand their knowledge in an existing trade. WBC Mechanical has full time employment openings for the Service Technician/Mechanic and Welder positions in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls areas. WBC Mechanical is hiring all experience levels. High school diploma or GED required. Applicants must pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol screening, pre-hire physical, and possess a valid driver’s license during all times of employment.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
o Service, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical/control systems.
o Basic troubleshooting.
o Use of hand and power tools.
o Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast paced environment.
o Stick welding and Tig welding (required for welders only).
o Read and comprehend service manuals.
DESIRED SKILLS & INTERESTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
o AUTOMOTIVE/DIESEL TECHNICIAN
o HVAC SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
o ELECTRICAL
o CONTROLS & INSTRUMENTATION
o INDUSTRIAL BOILERS & STEAM GENERATION
o WELDING & PIPEFITTING
o AVIATION
o HVAC, Mechanical, or Plumbing licenses are a plus but not required.
