¨NBSP; Lead Controls Engineer - Fenton, MichiganContract positionDay Shift - standard start time (6:00am)Max Pay Rate: $46.50 per hour (based on proven work history) Job Description of the Lead Controls Engineer:The Lead Controls Engineer designs, checks, and troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and water designs per assigned project. The objective is to design products to perform effectively and to be cost efficient.

  • Supports job project from inception through completion of program

  • Organizes and controls all designated engineering, concepts, proposals, layouts, details, and reviews these with the customer

  • Attends to customer requirements. Take and keep minutes of customer meetings

  • Reviews all drawings prior to final release and insures compliance for project internal buyoffs

  • Is aware of the Engineering/Project Controls budget and ensures designs are cost effective

  • Ensures engineering compliance with all customer and/or other pertaining specifications. Ensure company awareness to specifications

  • Organizes revisions

  • Creates change information for estimating

  • Aids proposal department in estimating and conception of new projects

  • Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns

  • Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job

    Required Education of the Lead Controls Engineer:B.S. degree from a four-year college or university; or eight plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combintation of education and experience. Preferred B.S. degree (EE, CS). Misc. Information regarding the Lead Controls Engineer:Experienced Automation Fluids Designed desired. Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic controls components and application for industrial machine automation. Ability to size valve, tubing, fittings for pneumatics and hydraulic cylinders and actuators. Ability to provide engineering calculations for designed circuits. Use of ePlan and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Festo, Parker product lines. Position wil be located at the customer in Fenton with occasional travel to another customer site in Saginaw when needed . A lot of the design is completed; the primary task will be the follow up on material and floor support. A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.
