Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring quality and precision in the folding process. You'll be responsible for determining the type of fold needed for each job, printing necessary paperwork, and following all required procedures. You'll select folding sections, insert correct folding gates and blanks, source printed materials, and set up feeders and rollers. Your expertise will ensure correct fold quality and size by installing and adjusting slitters or scorers as needed. Quality assurance is key, and you'll constantly monitor the quality and size of finished leaflets, ensuring they are boxed for application or shipping. Adherence to departmental SOPs, company GMPs, and safety standards is essential, and overtime may be required to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Determine type of fold needed per current jobs.
  • Print all needed paperwork for type of job.
  • Follow all required procedures.
  • Select folding sections to be used.
  • Insert correct folding gates and blanks for fold.
  • Source printed materials for folding.
  • Set up feeder to fit sheets and set rollers.
  • Set fold gates to ensure correct fold quality and size.
  • Install and adjust slitters or scorers as needed.
  • Obtain QA sign-off for job.
  • Constantly monitor quality and size of finished leaflets.
  • Box folded product for application or shipping.
  • Comply with all departmental SOPs, company GMPs, and safety rules.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of printing production is a plus.
  • Experience with gluing systems and glue detection systems is a plus.
  • Experience with setting up sensors, scanners, and vision systems is a plus.
  • Packaging experience in the pharmaceutical or food packaging industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using computers to navigate specifications.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled environment as the warehouse is humidified to meet government regulations. While performing duties, you'll be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and print chemicals typical of a printing environment. The workspace includes moving mechanical parts, with a moderately noisy atmosphere. Shift hours are from 10am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

$17/HR

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
