Jamtek Electrical LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Service Technician Project Manager to lead service operations in Macon, GA. This role combines hands-on technical work with project management responsibilities, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage electrical systems. We're looking for someone who brings both field expertise and leadership skills to drive projects forward and deliver exceptional customer service.

In this position, you’ll supervise a team of service technicians, manage multiple projects from start to finish, and ensure all work aligns with safety standards, budget expectations, and deadlines. Your ability to troubleshoot issues, manage resources, and communicate effectively will play a vital role in our continued success.

Compensation:

$37,400 - $52,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Create workplace policies and standards
  • Organize and lead technician mentorship, guidance, and training programs
  • Visit work sites to oversee the progress of projects and quality of work
  • Communicate with senior management, customers, and technicians
  • Assess the company’s equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Lead and manage service technicians on multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with customer needs and Jamtek’s operational goals.
  • Oversee all stages of service projects, from planning and budgeting to installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and repeat business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, addressing questions, concerns, and updates.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, allocation of resources, and tracking of materials to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide detailed reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, and promote a safety-first culture across all projects.
  • Manage team performance, providing coaching and guidance to ensure high-quality service and career growth.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any technical challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and safety regulations, ensuring compliance and innovation.
  • Lead smaller-scale capital projects and assist in long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

  • One year of previous experience as a technician supervisor manager required
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 1-3 years of experience as a technician in related field required
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; Preference for candidates with associate’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience as a Service Technician with at least 3 years of experience in low-voltage systems, access control, and security system installations.
  • Previous experience in a project management or leadership role, with the ability to manage teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical equipment, including alarm, cable/fiber optics, and security system installations and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and project forecasting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work in both a leadership and hands-on technical role, providing both strategic direction and practical assistance.
  • Experience with industrial automation and project lifecycle management is preferred.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
