Position Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Person plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our building facilities. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair, and improvement of the property, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Principal Duties:

Facility Operations:

  • · Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and overall upkeep of the facility.
  • · Manage and coordinate facility-related services such as cleaning, and landscaping.
  • · Ensure the facility meets all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • · Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the life of facility assets.
  • · Coordinate and conduct repair and maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • · Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the care and servicing of all vehicles, including tractors, skid steers, and trailers.
  • Ensure that repairs and inspections are scheduled and completed as necessary.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • · Monitor and report on facility-related expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • · Ensure procurement processes for supplies and services are efficient and cost-effective.

Space Management:

  • · Optimize the use of facility space to meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
  • · Plan and manage office layouts and space allocations.
  • · Coordinate facility-related projects, including renovations and relocations.

Communication and Coordination:

  • · Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and requests from employees and departments.
  • · Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • · Prepare and present regular reports on facility operations, performance, and projects.

Maintain Filing Systems:

  • Organize and upkeep filing systems for easy access to information

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (typically 1-2 years) in facility maintenance management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Familiar with facility maintenance management software (such as MaintainX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience using small earth moving equipment (skid steers) and tractor strongly encouraged.
  • Familiar with vehicle preventive maintenance procedures.

Appearance:

All employees are required to dress in a manner acceptable for interacting with clients and other professionals. Your personal appearance and dress are expected to always be appropriate to the professional nature of our business. The image of the clinic in the eyes of clients, vendors and the public are affected by the appearance of our employees.

  • T-shirts, Collared shirts, or button-up shirts in the colors white, gray, blue or black to represent the clinic colors. No tank tops, cropped tops, or plunging necklines.
  • Jeans, khakis, cargo pants, etc. Must reach ankles in length and be free of holes
  • Clean boots or closed-toe shoes.
  • Hats are acceptable if they do not promote a competitor.
  • Hair is expected to be clean and neat in appearance.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate all terrains of the facilities

Work Environment:

  • Will be exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be able to work effectively in an environment with exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, chemicals, animal hair and other particulates

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in facility maintenance management
