Position Overview: The Aseptic Filler Operator operates various machines that perform one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers.
Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
- Setup, preheat, prepare, test, and sterilize Aseptic filler prior to production.
- Set up coder in preparation for production startup.
- Sample and test product including ink and seals, and complete required documentation.
- Change paper and laminate rolls as needed.
- Start-up, stage straws and fill glue pot on straw applicator; monitor and clear jams as needed.
- Follow procedures to properly operate Accumulator (spiral conveyor with juice boxes).
- Safely operate baler.
- General
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, coworkers, and management.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
- Clean sterilization chamber, aseptic chamber, knife assembly, final folder, heating elements and exterior surfaces of Aseptic filler weekly, and complete documentation.
- Set temperature, sterilize, select tank, and purge lines on Aseptic processor.
- Perform flavor change and complete documentation.
- Perform batch sensory evaluations on products and complete required documentation.
- Complete product changeover by ensuring filler accumulators are empty, running all product out of multi-packer, removing/loading packaging from case packer and shrink tunnel, entering new code for product to be run and if necessary, changing trays.
- Complete daily cleaning of fill room to include sweeping, washing and drying floors, wiping down machine surfaces, clearing trench drains, removing trash and other debris, completing necessary documentation.
- Complete weekly cleaning of fill room to include buffing floors by hand, removing all trash bins from area, polishing exterior surfaces of machines and completing documentation.
- Complete monthly cleaning of fill room by cleaning hard to reach areas or items that require disassembly by the maintenance department and completing proper documentation.
- Clean in Place (CIP) straw applicator including cleaning up debris, wiping down all surface areas, cleaning glue nozzle, scrubbing and rinsing floor and completing documentation.
- Initiate Clean in Place (CIP) of accumulator at control panel and complete documentation.
- Clean in Place (CIP) filler to include shutting down filler, initiating caustic and acid wash from filler control panel and completing required documentation.
- Clean in Place (CIP) processors to include shutting down processor, initiating caustic and acid wash from filler control panel and completing required documentation.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) required.
- Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to forklifts. Employee is occasionally exposed to electrical currents, fumes, or chemicals. Employee is regularly exposed to changes in production facility temperature based on environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
