We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The right candidate will be well versed in CAD and have the skills required to assist in development of a new manufacturing facility.

Salary: $110k-$135k

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings for all aspects of the facility.
  • Collaborate with teams to incorporate modifications and new equipment.
  • Evaluate systems and infrastructure to identify improvements.
  • Define equipment specifications in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure technical and quality standards are met.
  • Asses and select equipment suppliers based on capability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Work with procurement and legal teams to finalize contracts to coordinate delivery and installation times.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing principles to develop efficient production workflows and layouts.
  • Analyze production forecasts to determine equipment and labor needs.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to bottlenecks.
  • Ensure robust production planning by partnering with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Engineers.
  • Work with EHS to implement effective safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain process flow diagrams, layout drawings, and utility matrices.
  • Provide data driven progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree or certifications (Lean Six Sigma, Certified Energy Manager) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing facility planning or similar role.
  • Experience in large-scale manufacturing projects.
  • Experience in (lithium-ion) battery industry or related sectors a plus.
  • Proficient in CAD software for facility and layout planning.
  • Strong understanding of facility utilities (electrical, HVAC, compressed air, dust collection).
  • Proficiency in capacity planning tools and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiar with APQP guidelines and PFMEA processes.
  • Working knowledge of MES systems and their integration into manufacturing operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to clearly present complex technical information.
