Position Summary:
Acting as a manager-in-residence, develop knowledge, skills and abilities needed to work in a management capacity, by shadowing and supporting the Program Manager in all program capacities.
 
Responsibilities Include:
 
Program Development
· Assist the Program Manager with organization and structure of the site
· Implement age-appropriate daily activities with youth; model appropriate activities to staff
· Provide support and assistance to enrichment curriculum related tasks
· Assist Program Manager with OCFS compliance requirements
· Build knowledge of Just for Kids quality programming expectations
 
Staff Management
· Supervise and assist staff as needed, taking an active role working with youth
· Assist Program Managers in maintaining staff compliance with Just for Kids policies
 
Recordkeeping
· Uphold confidentiality of information with regard to children and families, other staff, District operations, and the Just for Kids program at large
· Observe Program Managers role with daily communication with participating families, staff and school personnel
 
Ongoing Training and OCFS requirements
· Obtain 15 hours of training within first six months and 30 hours every two years
· Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certifications
 
Any other duties specified by the Program Manager and Just for Kids School Age Program administration
 
Schedule
Before and After school programs follow the District/School calendar, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 8:45am &amp; 1:45pm - 6:00pm, plus 1 hour of planning each week school is in session. Both Before and Afterschool and Afternoon only positions are available.

The YMCA is looking for fun, hard working, individuals looking to make an impact in our community. This position will provide after school care in McMinnville School District. This position is part time, Monday through Friday, with approximate hours of 2:00-6:00pm.

Job Responsibilities:
 A Teacher will work in the program supervising aides and volunteers. Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Teacher or Site Director in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community. Work is primarily performed at YMCA Before and After School programs in McMinnville. At times, staff may be asked to travel outside of McMinnville to fill in at other childcare sites within the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette Association. There may be times when staff are asked to attend company events outside of their regular schedule. Staff will be notified ahead of time if and when this happens.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:

<li>Pass a YMCA Background Check</li>
<li>At least 240 hours of qualifying experience working with school age children in the past five years, an Associates or higher degree in a related field, or a Step 6 on the Oregon Registry.</li>
<li>Meet all Program Leader standards as dictated by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care.</li>
<li>Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.</li>
<li>Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.</li>
<li>Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.</li>
<li>At least 18 years of age</li>

Supervisory Responsibilities:
