Maintains current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification. Provides education to diabetic inpatients and outpatients. Provides staff education related to diabetes. Teaches clearly and effectively. <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred</li>
<li>Current CA Licensure as RN</li>
<li>BLS required</li>
<li>Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred. (Must obtain in a reasonable timeframe after hire if applicant not currently a DCE)</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years experience as an RN</li>
<li>Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred</li>
<li>Experience in program management in health related field</li>
<li>Experience in care of people with diabetes</li>
<li>Possesses basic computer skills</li>
<li>Clear, professional, personable communication </li>
