We're on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our Before and After School Program for the 2024-25 school year at Cushing Community School in Cushing, ME. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.
 
 
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
PAY: $20.00 per hour
 
 
JOB CONSISTS OF:
As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site. This includes:
<ul>
<li>Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.</li>
<li>Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, don't forget about homework completion – you'll be the ultimate homework hero!</li>
<li>Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly.</li>
<li>Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.</li>
<li>Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and regularly with your direct report, ensuring they're up to speed on daily occurrences and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
To be qualified as a director, a person must:
<ul>
<li>Be at least 21 years of age. Hold a current certification in first aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training; Twelve (12) hours of training in healthy, safe environments; child development; observation and assessment; developmentally appropriate practice; guidance; relationship with families; individual and cultural diversity or business and professional development; childcare.</li>
<li>At least six (6) months experience working in a childcare program or other children's program.</li>
</ul>
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>You've got the green light from your doctor - medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.</li>
<li>You’re warm, friendly, and upbeat.</li>
<li>Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members.</li>
<li>You're ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with energetic kiddos!</li>
