Soar Autism Center is seeking a Post Doctoral Psychology Fellow to join our interdisciplinary team! The role is well-suited to someone who wants to be part of a team focused on supporting young children with autism and their families and who values continuity of care.
Soar is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive services that help them thrive. We provide naturalistic ABA therapy (ESDM), speech therapy, and occupational therapy to children with autism. We also provide diagnostic services to help families quickly access integrated, collaborative care. This also enables us to provide continuity of care not just during the transition to therapy, but also while a child and their family are receiving therapy at Soar. Soar clinicians develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with families. The team sets ambitious goals that focus on building skills that enable children to grow into their fullest selves. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning.
The goal of the postdoctoral psychology fellowship program at Soar Autism Center is to provide the postdoctoral fellow with a year of intensive exposure to specialized training in autism evaluation for early childhood (birth to 5 years of age). Training is designed to promote the development of competencies for practice in autism evaluation and interacting with children, their families, and the professionals who provide direct intervention services to those children. Additionally, the postdoctoral fellow will continue to develop skills in differential diagnosis, consultation, and program development and evaluation.
Location
We are seeking candidates in the Phoenix, AZ, region. We currently have multiple locations in the region and specific location may vary depending on where the direct supervisor is located. Flexibility to work from home on report writing or other non-direct tasks is available. 
Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow is expected to spend 40 hours per week in training and related activities. <li>Attend commencement activities, participate fully in Fall and Spring semester convocation and planning activities, perform committee service, and participate in continuing education, in-service training, continuous improvement and/or accreditation activities, as necessary. Absences or requests for release from these activities must be communicated to and approved by appropriate academic leadership.</li>
<li>Faculty, out of necessity, will work a flexible or non-traditional schedule to provide optimal student success opportunities. Exempt employees are not required to work a set number of hours as long as responsibility and performance expectations are met. The expectation of College leadership is that full-time employees will work at least 40 hours per week. Faculty may utilize a hybrid work environment with at least 60% of their instructional and IRA responsibilities performed on campus. Student engagement and success and in-person communication and collaboration should be the guiding principles of successful hybrid work activities.</li>

Qualifications and Education Requirements
<ul>
<li>A combination of education, training and experience that meets the appropriate credentialing guidelines for the instructional area.</li>
<li>Ability to pass a background screening process and/or obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, as necessary.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills

<li>Ability to effectively use various technologies, programs, and instructional methods to produce quality instructional and student success opportunities.</li>
<li>Strong relationship building and communication skills.</li>
<li>Familiarity with and understanding of safe work practices particularly when performing general physical activities.</li>

Work Environment
Duties are performed in an office environment using standard and specialized technologies and equipment. Operation of technologies and equipment involves the ability to manipulate objects from light to moderate weight using repetitive motion fine motor skills. Safe operation of motor vehicles involving both fine and gross motor skills may be expected. Limited exposure to loud noise and hazardous chemicals is expected.

</li>
<li>
Reliable Wi-Fi/Internet access
</li>
<li>
Owns a reliable personal computer 
</li>
<li>
Working knowledge of technology, such as headphones and personal computers
</li>
<li>
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred but not required
